Cabinetry for your Stairs!
What's the difference between a standard and a box newel? A standard newel is solid wood typrically turned on a lathe. But a box newel post is built in the same way you might build a cabinet: form a box, rout a design, and apply moldings and panels. A box newel post dominates the starcase and draws the eye. So, if your staircase includes a box newel, select the newel design first, then move on to the baluster, handrail, and accessories.
Ascension's Ranch Series box newel posts are engineered perfection, solid construction and including the mounting blocks when shipped. Newels are available in Red Oak, Poplar, Hard Maple, American Cherry and Beech.
